In LIAN - programs only the information block of words is displayed. In case of error the complete words are written in the protocol file ( incl. hamming bits etc. ).

Message structure

These telegrams start with calling up a command ( BAU ) or a message ( MAU ) including the station address. BAU is followed by three further bytes , calling up a message is concluded by the sign MAU. In front of both telegrams a so-called block command can be put. It is coded via the bit pattern "11111 11110".

These telegrams start with a so called information character ( IAC ) indicating which kind of information is meant. Depending on the IAC up to 89 information bytes will follow.

A synchro word can be transmitted for the telegrams below. Transmission with or without synchro word is parameterized in LIAN.

LIAN / SIMO-operation mode

A distinction of directions is not necessary because the telegram type can be identified clearly. This means that there is no difference in parameterization whether recording in monitoring or control direction.

Transmission error

*F:Basic error : Start / Stop bit is wrong ( BAU , MAU ).
*F:Hamming error : One of the Hamming bits K1 - K4 is set wrongly.
*F:Parity-error : One of the two Parity bits is set wrongly.
*F:Synchro-error :
 
The beginning of a telegram corresponds neither to an IAC nor to a BAU / MAU or a block command.

The expected number of bytes, according to the telegram type, does not correspond to the received number of bytes.
