Telegram structure :

The protocol SAT1703 uses only the format class FT 1.2, corresponding to the IEC standard TC57 Part 5.1.  (Transmission Frame Formats). Frames with fixed and variable length are also permissible as single signs A2H and E5H.  The transmission of data bytes takes place after the principle "LSB first".

It is an asynchronous protocol with the hamming distance = 4. The sequence of the user data is closed by an 8-bit check sum. The check sum is the arithmetic sum of all user data octets.

RTI (Master)-Simulation

 

Station initialization

When starting the RTI-simulation all telegram numbers in receive- and transmit direction in LIAN DOS are initialized. The multiple transmission ( 3 times ) of the single sign A2H as request for the initialization forces the substation to initialize all telegram numbers in transmit- and receive direction, too.

 

RTU (Slave)-Simulation

 

Transmission errors

*F:BCCode : The Telegram check sum is not correct.
*F:Block length : The stop byte is missing or is not on the right place.
*F:TelFormat : The telegram header of the 68H telegram is faulty.
*F:SYNC :

The receive routine searches for  68H or 10H. Every other character is given an asterisk '*' in SIMO and a synchronization error is noted against it in the protocol.

*F:Overflow : Error message from the UART.
*F:Parity : Error message from the UART.
*F:Start/Stop : Error message from the UART.
