For a sure identification of telegrams control- or monitoring direction must be set.

Telegram structure :

The telegram is of a defined length with the following structure :
  • start step consisting of one long pulse and one short pause
  • 8 information steps ( together 16 single pulses ) each consisting of one pulse for one grouped sign ( GZ ) and one pause for one single sign ( EZ ).

Length of signs is 1 ( correspondents to "sign not set" ) or 4 ( correspondents to "sign set" ).

A GZ is set by one long pulse.
A EZ is set by one long pulse.

-Final and control step ( SuK ) may be one long or short pulse.

19 steps control direction : 34 bit ; monitoring direction : 34 bit .... 58 bit

control direction : control telegram ; set point telegram
monitoring direction :   polling telegram ( G ) ; monitoring telegram,  measure telegram ; final telegram ( G )
( G ) means multi-point traffic : some of the codes of set point telegrams are identified as polling telegrams , some of the codes of measurement telegrams are identified as final telegrams.

Final and control step ( SuK ) completes the number of single signs to even ( e.g. 3single signs are long => SuK = long ).

Particular features

The telegram consists of 2 or 4 ( monitoring telegram ) grouped signs.
The control telegram consists of 2 single signs.
Monitoring or measurement telegrams consists of between 0 and 8 single signs.

Transmission errors

*F:Parity : Parity bit ( SuK ) is incorrect.
*F:Spike : The length of the received sign is < than 20% of the length of a short sign.
*F:SYNC : The start step was incorrect.
*F:TimeOut :

If during the telegram reception the maximum permissible time without signal change on the transmission line is exceeded or a received sign is longer than the final step the error message "time out" appears.
*F:Timetolerance : A received step was longer than 4 bits.
