LIAN DOS v 3.57.4 - current version



The installation of the two-channel expansion card is not required anymore, because of the use of a dongle. Now the LIAN-DOS software is running without the expansion module and can be used also for notebooks not having additional slots at their disposal.

After the fundamental revision of the whole software the current version contains besides the standard protocols IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-102 and IEC 60870-5-103 a lot of new and meaningful functions and improvements which will make your work easier.

Program LIAN

Information types for a better identification of telegrams :
For some protocols it is not possible to distinguish the individual telegram types. Therefore a protocol specific list for type identification is included. This list describes the allocation of the telegram address to the telegram type and makes possible a sure identification of the individual telegrams. A list once created can be saved and loaded again if needed.

Some protocols require pre-defined telegram buffers for particular reactions during simulation. Therefore a protocol specific list ( simulation list ) is implemented for the required information.

This list describes among others : The station number and location of telegrams for automatic reactions.


Program SIMO

Identification of serial port interfaces :
During startup of the program SIMO all available serial port interfaces will be identified and the corresponding subdivision of screen in channel windows is done automatically.

Plain text takes place also in the normal window :
To optimize the output you can choose between three plain text settings for protocols with long telegrams ( e.g. IEC protocols ) to display the complete telegram, the header or information only.

Back Scroll Window :
The Back-Scroll-Window offers the user the possibility to view the received data of all channels simultaneously to the recording. The data are sorted by the receiving time independently of the channel. The recording is continued without restriction in the background. The backscroll buffer is organized as circulation buffer, that means if the buffer is full the oldest information is overwritten.

Extended transmission commands
The commands  ss, sm  and  sz can contain up to 28 telegrams to be transmitted in one call. A telegram marked in the View Window can be transmitted via hot key once or cyclic.

Channels, filters and triggers can be activated and deactivated :
It is not longer necessary to quit the program SIMO to activate or deactivate filters or triggers. You can do it via commands in SIMO directly.

Furthermore you have the possibility to deposit a personal commentary per channel, which is displayed in the status window and also saved in the configuration file.


Program TRAP

Three different plain text settings :
Especially for protocols with long telegrams ( e.g. IEC protocols ) you can choose between three plain text settings for telegrams to display the complete telegram, the header or information only.


Program FIPP

Action filter :
The possibility exists to define action-filters, that cause a send-sequence or send one or more message buffers. For the simulation actions can be caused with the receipt of pre-defined messages.

Extension of start-, stop- and error trigger :
Now start-, stop- and error trigger can be activated for all channels and not only for one channel, according to the requirements.


Program TDEP

Received telegrams can be copied from the ARC file into the protocol-specific send buffers :
Via copying particular telegrams or complete transmission sequences from the ARC file into the send buffers editing can be done easier.

Several edited buffers can be displayed in an overview :
It is possible to display one or more buffers in an overview.

Unbalanced transmission :
Now the user can choose between balanced und unbalanced transmission.

Extended simulation mode :
In program LIAN all the necessary parameters for the simulation can be set via menue item <Settings | Simulation>. During simulation the addresses ( link, ASDU, ... ) will be inserted automatically in the the telegram before the transmission.

During simulation the link layer is monitored on failures ( e.g. faulty control field ) by program SIMO.
